Dreamfit Foundation is currently developing our new headquarters, the Dreamplex.
The new facility will be an innovation incubator where our dedicated staff, student engineers and volunteers can work together to create extraordinary opportunities for people living with disabilities.
The Dreamplex will increase the capacity of our Student Program to engage up to 150 of WA’s brightest engineering students developing and producing a range of innovative living equipment for people living with disabilities. The facility will feature a state-of-the art workshop, research and training facilities, and our administration offices.
The engineering workshop will include Project bays, a wood workshop, metal working and welding areas, a car hoist, painting booth, machiningand fabrication areas and an electronics lab. The workshop will providethe engineering students with the resources they need to work on ourinnovative and dream-fulfilling projects. The Dreamplex will alsoinclude research facilities where the students can research and developour project concepts. The research area will include a CAD computerlaboratory, training/lecture room, student workstations, and meetingfacilities.

Philanthrophy is alive and well in property, 25.03.09. The West Australian
The building we are renovating to become our Dreamplex is located at the University of Western Australia’s Shenton Park Field Station. Dreamfit Foundation has secured the use of the building through a peppercorn lease generously provided by The University of Western Australia. The building was no longer being used and requires a major refurbishment to be suitable for Dreamfit Foundation’s purposes.
The first stage of the Dreamplex project has involved removal of the asbestos cladding, some concrete work, complete recladding of the building, and installation of new sliding access doors. The first stage of the project is progressing well.
Dreamfit Foundation would like to acknowledge the significant contribution of our project partner, The University of Western Australian, and the support of our sponsors and in-kind supporters, Wesfarmers, Hames Sharley Architects, Wood and Grieve Engineers, Structerre Consulting Group, Global Construction Services and Rawlinsons Quantity Surveyors.
